Fort Sill Commander Dismissed Amid Investigation

A commanding general at Fort Sill Army Base near Lawton has been released from his duties amid an ongoing investigation.

Maj. Gen. Kenneth Kamper is under investigation for alleged violations of hunting regulations at the post.

Kamper took command of the post in 2020.

The Army said Kamper was removed because of "loss of trust and confidence in his ability to command."
