Don’t fry day is the Friday before Memorial Day aimed to raise awareness about protecting your skin from the sun's rays.
The most important thing to do to protect yourself from the sun is to wear sunscreen regularly and consistently.
Doctors say to use sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher and be sure it's broad spectrum which protects from both UVA and UVB rays.
For consistent protection, reapply every 2 hours.
Other good ways to block the sun such as hats or sunglasses, are also helpful for skin.
