Elk City Police Officer Stabbed During Arrest

An Elk City officer stabbed during an arrest early Wednesday morning is expected to make a full recovery.

Elk City Police said the officer was attacked while arresting a suspect for a warrant.

Investigators said the suspect became combative and stabbed the officer in the arm several times. The officer was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

The suspect was booked into Elk City Jail on a complaint of assault with the intent to kill.
