Gov. Stitt Proclaims Flood Awareness Month For May

Governor Kevin Stitt has proclaimed May as Flood Awareness month because it is historically the month with the highest number of flooding disasters in Oklahoma.

The city of Edmond is urging residents to be aware of where Oklahoma's flood plains are.

City leaders said homeowners should check to make sure flood damage is covered under their insurance plan.
