A student repair program is allowing students at Southeast High School in Oklahoma city to refurbish district laptops at zero cost.
The student repair program allows students to learn professional skills that they can apply towards computer tech careers after high school.
By next year, Southeast High School will have 32 students enrolled in the program.
“Our students are qualified to work for Dell after high school, and we are trying to work with the district to open positions in our IT program so students can maybe work here once they graduate," career tech instructor Krista Meyer said.
Meyer said the IT program distributes computers parts so students can repair them for other staff and students.
