Law Enforcement Agencies Gather For K-9 Partner Training In Yukon

Law enforcement agencies from all across Oklahoma gathered Wednesday in Yukon for K-9 training.

The training was a little different because it wasn't about tracking down suspects but protecting the K-9 partners.

Officers and firefighters learned how to stop their partners from bleeding, to bandage lacerations and even how to do CPR on the dogs.

Organizers said they had to turn teams away because they didn't have enough room.

But they are trying to make training opportunities more frequent for handlers because there are constantly new techniques to keep the K-9s safe.
