65-Year-Old Dead After Oklahoma County Motorcycle Crash

A 65-year-old man is dead after a crash that happened earlier this month in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said at around 5:07 p.m. on May 6, a motorcycle, driven by Michell Mundell, 65, was traveling northbound on the on ramp to Interstate 44 from Southwest 29th Street.

Another vehicle was also traveling northbound on the on ramp before slowing down due to traffic conditions.

Troopers said the motorcycle was unable to stop in time and struck the back of the other vehicle.

The motorcycle then overturned and the driver was ejected an unknown distance from the crash.

Mundell was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead on Tuesday due to injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

OHP said the cause of the crash was unsafe speeding.
