Highs Wednesday will climb into the 80s and it will be another muggy one. Scattered showers and storms develop later from the afternoon into the evening.
There is a very low risk of severe weather Wednesday. Storms could pulse up periodically with quarter size hail and 60 mph winds.
On Thursday, the risk for severe weather is going up. The main storm is swinging out from the west and will really ramp up the jet stream level winds.
We will see rich Gulf moisture across Oklahoma. This will cause the instability to high. The wind shear (turning of winds with height) will also be sufficient enough for big supercells.
Remember, all supercells spin, not all spinning storms produce tornadoes. Stay tuned to the forecast today as these zones and the timing becomes more fine-tuned.
For Thursday, remember don't be scared, just be prepared. Have a safety plan in place for you and your loved ones. The overall chance for storms for most locations are 40% or less. Of course team of stormtrackers will be out, and we will be on-air and online with any updates.
