Man Arrested, Charged With Kidnapping After Pauls Valley Tumbling Competition

Pauls Valley Police responded to the Pauls Valley High School on Sunday because a man was reportedly harassing bystanders as they watched a tumbling competition.

Officers arrested Caleb Meave and an altercation ensued. Meave allegedly kicked, struck and clawed officers. Two officers received minor injuries.

Meave allegedly had been talking to young children at the event, picking up a 6-year-old boy and walking away. The child’s parent intervened and retrieved the child from Meave. 

Police said Meave exhibited signs of being under the influence of drugs.

Meave is being held at the Garvin County Jail with charges of kidnapping and battery/assault & battery on police officers for a $100,000 bond. Meave also has pending cases in the Garvin County District Court.
