OU Advanced Placement Summer Institute Canceled

The 2023 Advanced Placement Summer Institute at OU has been canceled, with the university and State Board of Education offering different reasons as to why.

According to the university, the State Department of Education failed to sign a contract in a timely manner. however, the board said it was cancelled due to low enrollment.

State Supt. Ryan Walters said during a committee meeting this week that they’re looking into alternatives.

Only two places listed on the department of education’s website where the program is offered: the University of Oklahoma and Northeastern State University.

Refunds for any payments made will be processed to the payment form on file within four to six weeks.
