State House Passes Tax Credit Bill, Asks Senate For Aid Directed Towards Rural Oklahomans

The Oklahoma House of Representatives passed the state Senate's tax credit bill, with representatives now asking the Senate to pass something to help rural Oklahomans.

The bill that passed through the House would split families into five income brackets. Those with lower annual salaries would get up to a $7,500 tax credit for their students.

Families with more annual income would get a lower tax credit amount per student.

There is an income cap though, which will increase over the first 3 years.
