Authorities said seven bodies were found at a property near Henryetta. They said this is a homicide investigation, but have not said who is responsible.
When two teenage girls went missing this week, it sent officers to a home in Henryetta. Investigators said Ivy Webster and Brittany Brewer were staying with Jesse McFadden and his family for the weekend, but never returned home on Sunday. When police walked on the property, they made the chilling discovery that the teenage girls and five others were dead.
“We've had our share of troubles and woes but this one is pretty bad,” Okmulgee County Sheriff Eddy Rice said.
Officials have not released a cause of death, but Krystle Strong believes she knows who is responsible.
“I'm saying murders because I feel in my heart that he did it and took his own life,” Strong said.
Strong said she met McFadden more than 15 years ago.
“I say these six people lost their lives because he doesn't count,” Strong said.
She was only 16 years old when he violently raped her.
“He did hold a knife; I think it was like a switchblade or a pocket knife because it was really sharp, and I felt like it was forever,” Strong said.
She says she immediately told her parents.
“I just ran down the dirt road butt naked in Canadian shores,” Strong said.
McFadden was sentenced to 20 years in jail for first-degree rape. According to court documents, that wasn't his only offense. He was charged in 2017 with using a contraband cell phone in prison to send sexual messages to an underage girl.
He was supposed to appear in court for this case last Monday.
“There should've been so many red flags,” Strong said.
Strong said her heartbreaks for the lives lost and their families.
News 9 reached out to the medical examiner’s office for the identities of the bodies found and cause of death. We have not heard back yet.
