OKC Fire Crews Respond To Early Morning Blaze

The Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to a house fire at around 2 a.m. Wednesday near North Rockwell Avenue and West Britton Road.

Firefighters said six people were home at the time of the fire and there were no smoke alarms installed.

The fire was able to be contained to a child's bedroom, that child was able to wake up the rest of the family and alert them to the blaze, according to authorities.

Fire crews said there was smoke damage to the rest of the house, but that no one was hurt.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause.
