Sunny skies today with highs in the 70s and 80s! Look for south winds that will gust 30 to 40 mph with strongest winds in western Oklahoma.
This afternoon storms will try to develop in the panhandle. These could be severe with damaging winds and large hail.
As the evening turns to night, these storms will weaken as they move east. Shower chances will go up across the state into Friday morning.
Friday afternoon highs will climb into the 80s. The dryline moves into our western counties.
Behind the dryline the fire threat will be extreme. Ahead of, or east of the dryline, the risk of severe storms increases. Right now, it is a low risk of severe weather. The risk for storms actually forming is low, however if they can fire, they will quickly become severe.
A cold front moves in Saturday and will knock highs back into the low 70s.
