Northwest OKC Chase Ends With Crash Into Building

A short chase in northwestern Oklahoma City ended Thursday morning when the fleeing vehicle crashed into a building.

Oklahoma City Police said they were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash, where officers found Eva Vobach, 35, still inside her vehicle near Northwest 39th Street and North Portland Avenue.

Officers said they attempted to  convince Vobach to exit her vehicle, when Vobach suddenly sped off through a parking lot.

After a short pursuit, Vorbach again crashed her vehicle, this time into a building near Northwest 36th Street and North May Avenue.

"We just heard this horrible loud noise, It almost sounded like a bomb going off," eyewitness Cassiana Munez said.

Oklahoma City Police said Vobach was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and fleeing the scene.
