‘She Would Not Shut Up’: Spencer Man Sentenced For Shooting Wife

A Spencer man has been sentenced for shooting his wife in the head in 2021.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office said Aaron Houchins will serve life in person after a shooting that happened on Oct. 20, 2021.

On that date, deputies responded to a home where they found Aaron’s wife, Jessica Houchins, with a gunshot injury to her head.

Aaron was then arrested and charged with shooting with intent to kill.

Aaron has been sentenced to life in prison and must serve at least 35 years of the sentence, according to OCSO.
