The American Red Cross provided an update on Tuesday after a wildfire outbreak broke out through parts of the state on Friday.

The Red Cross said 82 homes have now been classified as destroyed with four having major damage.

People in need of assistance after Friday's wildfire outbreak can call 1-800-RED CROSS. The Red Cross also offers 24/7 support through their disaster distress hotline at 833-583-3111.

There's also critical fire danger on Tuesday, and the Red Cross released the following list of ways to prevent wildfires from starting:

  1. Don't burn outdoors.
  2. Don't park vehicles or place hot equipment on dry grass.
  3. Dispose of used matches and cigarette butts in a closed container or cup of water; don't throw them out of your car.
  4. Keep lighters and matches out of the reach of children.
  5. Don’t allow gasoline or motor oil to spill on grass or other vegetation.
  6. Tractors, off-road vehicles and equipment being used in wooded areas, such as chainsaws, must have spark arrestors.
