Edmond North Student Hit By Car, Taken To Hospital

Officials in Edmond have gathered at Edmond North High School after a student was allegedly hit by a car.

Edmond Police said the student was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but was awake and talking to officials.

Officers said the driver, also a student, stayed at the scene of the incident. She was making a left turn and couldn't see the pedestrian because of the sun, according to police.

The driver received a citation for failure to yield for a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
