Bill Proposes Pay Raise For Poll Workers

The State Senate Judiciary Committee has passed a bill that will raise pay for poll workers on election day.

Senate Bill 290 would raise pay for judges and clerks who volunteer from $100 to $200 dollars.

Pay for election inspectors would increase from $110 to $225 dollars.

The bill will now head to the Appropriations Committee.
