Sassy Mama is in the kitchen cooking up something tasty. In Wednesday's segment, Sassy is showing the News 9 team how to make air fryer chicken tenders.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken tenders, cut into cubes
- 1 cup dill pickle juice
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups panko crumbs
- Salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Spray olive oil
Directions:
- Add the chicken to a gallon sized Ziploc bag and pour the pickle juice over the top and seal.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees.
- Spray the inside of the fryer bowl with olive oil.
- To dredge the chicken, use a shallow pie pan or plate with a lip.
- Add flour to one plate, eggs to the 2nd plate and panko crumbs to the third.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of seasonings to each dredging bowl. Mix well.
- Remove the chicken from the pickle juice.
- Dry with paper towels and then dip in flour.
- Make sure to completely cover each piece with flour.
- Then dip in egg and then panko crumbs.
- Cook for 10 minutes in the airfryer. Make sure not to crowd the air fryer bowl.
- Flip chicken nuggets after 5 minutes.
