Sassy Mama is in the kitchen cooking up something tasty. In Wednesday's segment, Sassy is showing the News 9 team how to make air fryer chicken tenders.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pound boneless skinless chicken tenders, cut into cubes
  2. 1 cup dill pickle juice
  3. 2 cups all purpose flour
  4. 2 eggs, beaten
  5. 2 cups panko crumbs
  6. Salt and pepper
  7. 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  8. 1 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  9. 1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  10. Spray olive oil

Directions:

  1. Add the chicken to a gallon sized Ziploc bag and pour the pickle juice over the top and seal. 
  2. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees. 
  4. Spray the inside of the fryer bowl with olive oil. 
  5. To dredge the chicken, use a shallow pie pan or plate with a lip. 
  6. Add flour to one plate, eggs to the 2nd plate and panko crumbs to the third. 
  7. Add 1/2 teaspoon of seasonings to each dredging bowl. Mix well. 
  8. Remove the chicken from the pickle juice. 
  9. Dry with paper towels and then dip in flour. 
  10. Make sure to completely cover each piece with flour. 
  11. Then dip in egg and then panko crumbs. 
  12. Cook for 10 minutes in the airfryer. Make sure not to crowd the air fryer bowl.  
  13. Flip chicken nuggets after 5 minutes.
