Bob Stoops Shares Memories Of Mike Leach

Condolences are pouring in for Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach, who died this week following complications from a heart condition.

Leach was the offensive coordinator at the University of Oklahoma during Bob Stoops first season as head coach.

Stoops, who would later play against Leach once the latter took the head coaching job at Texas Tech University, said he remembered Leach for his "interesting and entertaining" personality.

"He was always learning, always interesting, and always entertaining," Stoops said. "When you get that call at midnight, you were looking forward to talking to him, long as you had enough sleep, otherwise you didn't answer it [because] you know it was going to be two hours."

Leach, whose a coaching career began in the 1980s, held the head coaching job at an umber of schools, including Texas Tech, Washington State and Mississippi State.
