The Cherokee Nation has received a federal grant to help fight the opioid epidemic.

The grant is nearly $2 million in federal funding meant to address the rising number of opioid overdoses.

The tribe said the grant will go towards expanding services at W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah.
