Oklahoma schools are preparing to welcome their students back into the classrooms for the 2022-2023 school year.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends parents and schools promote healthy nutrition.
According to registered dietician Mia Syn, there are healthy and affordable food options.
“There are plenty of cost-friendly choices,” Syn said. “You can really control the ingredients you’re using. Bento boxes are a great way to save money. You can pick and choose from different food groups to build a balanced box.”
According to Syn, more than one million kids suffer from allergies. Syn recommends finding an over-the-counter allergy medicine that can help.
