Fire crews were called to the scene of a three-alarm fire in downtown Oklahoma City on Thursday morning.
Officials say nearly 55 firefighters responded to the scene at the old Oklahoma City Schools Administration building near Northwest 9th & Western around 2:39 a.m.
According to officials, the call initially came out as a smoke investigation and escalated further from there.
Officials say the fire broke out in the auditorium on the east end of the building.
Crews say the building has been vacant for four years and was being prepared for a remodel as it had been sold.
Fire investigators are now on scene.
