U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland will come to Oklahoma on Saturday to hear from Native American boarding school survivors.
This comes during a federal investigation into these schools where Indian children were forced to assimilate into a different culture.
Reports show 76 of those schools were in Oklahoma.
They also identified 53 burial sites and estimated there could be thousands of children who died under the care of the federal government.
This is the first stop in Haaland's year-long tour.
