OKLAHOMA CITY -

You know how it is when you move and you find stuff, sometimes decades old, that you had forgotten about or accidentally misplaced? Well, that's what's happening around News 9 as we get ready to move downtown. One of the things we discovered was a request from a metro woman for a copy of a storm special. She sent the letter nearly 25 years ago!

But we want to keep our obligations and so we sent David Payne personally to deliver it.

Tornado Alley ‘98 was a half hour News 9 special focusing on the year's busy tornado season. Something about it motivated Lesley Crosby to send the letter and a $25 check for a copy.

However, somehow that unopened letter got lost in a dark crevice of News 9. Until as we were cleaning everything out for the big move, we found it. And decided it was past time to give Lesley the copy she requested.

Armed with a now DVD and a basket of goodies. David was on a mission. Lesley's husband and sister helped us coordinate the surprise.

And Leslie finally got to watch that tornado special she requested. But now with her own personal meteorologist narrating right there on her couch.

We also, by the way, returned Lesley's uncashed check.
