The Canadian County Sheriff's Office arrested a man who deputies said admitted to possessing and trading child pornography.
Richard Sharp, 58, was taken into custody June 16.
Deputies said its investigation began when the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children forwarded a tip to the Canadian County Sheriff's Office.
The tip referred to Sharp's possession and trading of explicit images of children aged two to 11 years old on a social media app. The app reported Sharp's actions to authorities.
Law enforcement obtained a search warrant at Sharp's home where investigators found multiple graphic images of children on his laptop and phone.
Sharp was taken to the Canadian County Detention Facility where he was booked on two complaints of child pornography possession. He remains in custody with bond set at $50,000.
