The FDA will return to Abbott's baby formula plant in Michigan after severe storms and flooding forced the company to shut it down.

The factory had just resumed operations less than two weeks ago following a contamination issue that halted production for months.

It caused a nationwide baby formula shortage that's now expected to last into the summer.
The White House said the FDA's visit is to ensure that when Abbott is ready it can restart production.
