Suspect Recovering After Being Shot By Chickasha Police

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a police shooting Tuesday night in Chickasha.

Chickasha Police responded to the scene in the 1800 block of W. Idaho Avenue after a neighbor said they saw a shirtless man yelling obscenities in the street.

The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Justin Keith Henderson, did not comply with officers and went back into his home, police said.

Henderson later appeared in the doorway with a weapon in his hand. A Chickasha police officer fired shots at Henderson.

Henderson was taken to an Oklahoma City area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
