Police have identified the victim and arrested the suspect in a Thursday night homicide in northeast Oklahoma City.

The incident took place near Northeast 24th Street and Miramar Boulevard.
Investigators said the suspect and the victim were in an altercation inside of the vehicle which led to the homicide.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old William Jones, and the suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Aron Jones.
OCPD says officers were around Northeast 24th and Creston investigating another call unrelated to the homicide when they heard shots in the area.
One neighbor in the area recalled the moment he heard the gunfire.
“I called my brother up to talk to him on the phone, then all I hear is bop bop bop. So, I went to the door, looked out and saw police cars drive by,” said Craig McDaniel.
By the time EMSA got to the scene, the victim, William Jones, was already dead from the gunshot wounds when officers found him in a vehicle.
Officers discovered the suspect, Aron Jones, standing close to the scene.
The suspect was taken in for questioning by police and was then booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
The suspect was booked on a complaint of murder in the first degree.
