Many Oklahomans have said they are turning to area ranchers to buy meat as food prices rise.

Many ranchers have said they have seen business steadily increase since the start of the pandemic.

While President Joe Biden introduced a plan to fund independent meat processors and ranchers, many have said they won't see that money.

"They're only going to build more UDSA plants out in the country. But we don't need more plants, we just need funding for the current USDA plants. The processors we use, we just need money for more equipment," said Jake Miller, Farm Manager at Outwest Farms.

The money for the presidents' plan comes from the American Rescue Plan that Congress passed in March of 2021.
