BA Athletic Department Hosted Annual Fundraiser For District's Special Olympics Team

People in Broken Arrow braved this cold snap of weather to help out with a good cause.

The school's athletic department hosted it's annual "Freezin' For A Reason" fundraiser.

In the midst of wind chills below 20 degrees, people signed up to take a dip in an ice cold swimming pool.

The event raises money for the district's Special Olympics team.

"We've actually had years where we raised eight thousand dollars. So that buys a lot of uniforms for those kids," said Ken Ellett, Event Organizer.
