The family of a Collinsville police officer who died in an off-duty crash last summer is helping children involved in child abuse cases.

Chad Goodner's family collected nearly 700 items throughout the Collinsville community and donated them to the Child Abuse Network in his honor.

The items include blankets and stuffed animals.

The Child Abuse Network said it's enough to stock its comfort closet for five months.

Several organizations stepped up to help, like the Collinsville FOP, Raomona Police, Skiatook Police, Langston University, TCC's Police department, and Collinsville City Hall.
