A Tulsa nonprofit is hosting a vaccination clinic for families who want protection from COVID-19. It comes as health experts urge Oklahomans to get vaccinated to help slow the spread of the virus.

Uma Tulsa is dedicated to helping underserved communities and it will be hosting a clinic to give out free COVID-19 vaccinations. First, second and booster doses will be administered for free to people five years and older.

Walk-ins are welcome and no insurance or I.D. is required to get a shot on Tuesday. The clinic comes at a time when the CDC lists the entire state of Oklahoma, including Tulsa County, in the high transmission category.

The CDC reports more than 384,000 people are fully vaccinated in Tulsa County, which is 59% of the population.

Vaccines will be administered from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tulsa Educare building near Pine and Harvard.
