Driver In 2020 Fatal Wrong-Way Crash Faces Sentencing This Week

The man who hit and killed UCO student Marissa Murrow will be sentenced in Canadian County this week.

Court documents said Malcolm Penney's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit when the wrong-way crash happened in Oct. 2020.

Last November, Penney changed his plea.

Penney pleaded guilty to a second-degree murder charge and no contest to leaving the scene of a fatality accident.

He was ultimately found guilty of both.
