The pandemic is causing a ripple effect for many businesses.
Many emergency veterinary centers have said they're really busy.
They're picking up the work-load from regular veterinary clinics that may be closed because of the increase in COVID cases.
That's leading to long wait times and some impatient pet owners.
"I know that everyone is stressed out and there are higher stress levels but you need to understand that we are working and we are trying to save animals," said Katy Hawpkins, Neel Veterinary Hospital.
Many offices that stayed open are also hiring more employees to handle the increased work.
