Skillet Baked Potatoes

  1. 2 large russet potatoes
  2. 1/4 cup butter, melted
  3. 2 teaspoon Sassy Steak Seasoning
  4. 2 set chopsticks

Sassy Steak Seasoning

  1. 2 tablespoon sea salt
  2. 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  3. 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  4. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  5. 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  7. 1 teaspoon flaked sea salt
  8. 1/2-1 teaspoon red pepper flakes**

Mix all of the spices together in a bowl and store in an airtight container.

**Add more or less depending on how spicy you like your seasonings.


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Heat a large cast iron skillet on a stovetop till hot.
  3. While skillet is heating, put the chopsticks on either side of the potato and use them as a guide to cut 1/4 inch thick slices into your potato.
  4. Make sure not to cut all the way through.
  5. Once potatoes are done, carefully set them into the skillet and drizzle with melted butter.
  6. Open up the slices to make sure and get all the butter and seasoning into the creases.
  7. Sprinkle with Sassy Steak Seasoning.
  8. Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and spoon drippings over the potatoes.
  10. Bake an additional 30 minutes.
  11. Remove from the oven.
  12. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and diced green onions.
