A devastating severe storm system swept through Friday night into early Saturday in the eastern half of the United States.
One of the worst hit areas was in western Kentucky where a tornado destroyed countless businesses and homes and killed more than 70 people.
Experts said preliminary findings show the tornado may have been on the ground for more than 220 miles before lifting in central Kentucky.
News 9's Augusta McDonnell and Hunter McKee are at the scene of the devastation where dozens of fatalities have been reported.
