TULSA, Oklahoma -

Many OU fans in Tulsa are excited to see Brent Venables as the new head coach.

Co-Presidents of the OU Club of Tulsa Paige Cole and Chris Martin say this is a good move for the Sooners.

They say Venables brings a lot of experience to the Sooners and they knew the University would make the right choice for the job.

They also say they're especially glad to see Venables is finally coming home after he previously was an assistant coach for the University.

Cole says he was very animated on the sidelines and she’s excited to see his energy back in Norman.

The OU Club of Tulsa meets regularly to watch the Sooner games and many of them are alumni of the University and Sooner Super Fans.

Their next watch party is set for December 29th when Oklahoma plays Oregon at the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.

They plan to share the location closer to the game at oucluboftulsa.com or on the group’s Facebook page.
