Police are on the lookout for a gunman after a teenager was shot. It happened just after 11 a.m. Saturday at the Relax Inn near NE 23rd and Martin Luther King in Oklahoma City.

"Upon their arrival, a victim was located with a gunshot wound to his abdomen," said Sgt. Amanda Heppler, with OKC Police.

He was transported to OU Health and taken into surgery. He was listed in critical condition. Investigators say the suspect was last seen running from the scene. Police used K-9's and Air One to try and track the suspect down, but he's still on the run.

"The suspect description that we have is going to be a black male, approximately 17 years of age, wearing an orange hoodie," said Heppler. "Navy blue sweatpants, and dark shoes. He's going to be about 5 foot 8 inches with a stalky build."

Officers blocked off parts of the area, trying to piece together what exactly led up to the shooting. Investigators are now working to talk to anybody who may have seen or heard something.

"They both had conflicting stories," said Heppler. "We don't know what was the original cause for the altercation."

As of now, they don't believe anyone else was involved and there were no other injuries from the incident. The teenager who was shot has not been identified.
