Team coverage of the COVID-19 situation in Oklahoma continues as the holiday season ramps up.

Doctors say they are already seeing an uptick in COVID-19 cases ahead of the Holiday season.

Oklahoma's new seven-day average is at 831 new cases per day. That's a jump of nearly 300 cases per day compared to two weeks ago when the average was 561.

Hospitalizations are seeing a slight uptick as well. This has some doctors worried that an increase is looming in the upcoming months, especially during the holiday season.

To help avoid the spread of COVID during the holidays, experts suggest getting a booster shot if you can. It's now available for all adults. Also, get tested for the virus if you don't feel well.

News On 6 is expected to learn more from state health leaders on Wednesday at a briefing set to take place at 1 p.m.
