Oklahoma City Police Give Advice To Avoid Porch Pirates

The Oklahoma City Police Department wants to help you avoid falling victim to porch pirates.

They say the best defense is a doorbell camera placed right within eyesight. A hidden camera will not deter thieves. If you have the option, set up a package pickup somewhere like Amazon locker or even your workplace.

If you do have packages stolen, file a report with police.

"We can do it over the phone, it's often very simple. If you have imagery, even better. If you don't, chances are good they've stolen from your neighbors also and one of them might," said Capt. Jeffery Spruill with the OCPD.
