OHP: Fatality Collision Reported In SW OKC

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said one fatality has been confirmed following a collision Sunday morning.

The collision, which involved three vehicles and a box truck, happened on the inside lane of Interstate 240 westbound near South May Avenue.

Due to the collision, the inside lane was closed just before 10 a.m. Sunday.

Around 11:40 a.m., the Oklahoma Department of Transportation announced that westbound traffic on I-240 has been narrowed to one lane between May Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.

ODOT said the closure could last "a few hours."

Drivers have been advised to avoid the area, if at all possible, or expect delays.

It is not yet known how many people or vehicles were involved in the collision.
