State Representative Justin Humphrey of Lane, Oklahoma says he plans on drafting legislation to completely change the state's Criminal Justice System.
Under his new plan, released offenders would be supervised by a district board made up of a judge, DA, County Commissioner, Sheriff, Defense attorney and a private citizen.
The board would answer to the State Department of Corrections.
Currently, supervision is handled by DAs who collect fees from people they supervise to fund their office.
Humphrey says this is a conflict of interest.
He plans on introducing the legislation next year.
