Applications are now available for the district's Tulsa Teacher Corps mid-year cohort.

It's a program developed by Tulsa Public Schools in 2018 to train and place educators in the classroom.

This is the first year Tulsa Public Schools is launching a mid-year cohort.

The teacher development program trains and places educators in TPS classrooms by providing them with intensive training, self-guided coursework, one-on-one coaching and hands-on classroom experience.

Corps members who successfully complete the six-week training program and meet TPS’ requirements for employment are eligible to earn a full teacher's salary with benefits.

The district said Corp members will receive a stipend during the tuition-free program. Those funds can go toward living or relocation expenses.

There are certain requirements candidates must meet to qualify for the program.

You must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5

Applications are open right now on the district's website and are due by November 30th.
