Oklahoma City Fire Crews On Scene Of Natural Gas Odor In SW OKC

The Oklahoma City Fire Department was on scene of a southwest OKC strip mall where a strong scent of natural gas was detected Friday morning.

The strip mall is located near the intersection of Southwest 59th Street and May Avenue.

Fire crews said they believe damage to the roof may have caused the odor.

Authorities evacuated the strip mall and instructed people to avoid the area before properly ventilating the structure.

People have since been allowed to return to the strip mall area.
