Overnight Apartment Garage Fire Displaces Family, Kills Pet

Two people are okay after their apartment garage caught fire overnight near Northwest 28th and Western.

Firefighters said one family cat died in the fire, another is missing.

A third cat was treated for smoke inhalation and two other animals escaped unharmed.

Investigators believe the flames were caused by an electrical issue.
