A Tulsa nonprofit is helping women get a fresh start after they get out of prison.

Muddy Paws trains the women to work as dog groomers.

Monday night, Muddy Paws held a graduation ceremony for 35 women.

“It’s dramatically changed me, it makes me feel like I’m a better person,” graduate Rachal Lundstrom. “It gives me faith and it gives me hope to succeed.”

More than 300 women have gone through the program since 2010.

Muddy Paws said 95 percent of the women got a fulltime job in the industry and some of them run their own grooming businesses.
