11 Oklahomans got the chance to take part in a special presentation in the Heart of New York City.

They were featured in an hour-long video presentation put on by the National Down Syndrome Society.

The video featured 500 photographs of children, teens and adults with Down syndrome from all 50 states.

No matter what he's doing, 3-year-old Briggs will light up the room with his sweet personality.

On Saturday morning, he lit up Times Square when his photo was featured in the annual National Down Syndrome Society video presentation.

"It's just such a huge opportunity for advocacy and for visibility," said Katie Walker, Briggs' mom.

Briggs' mom, Katie, said Saturday was all about awareness to shine a light on what it means to have Down Syndrome.

"It's more than you could ever imagine and it's better than you could ever picture," said Walker.

15-year-old Kerstin Soell also made her debut on the Jumbotron Screen Saturday.

"It's kind of a special time for us because I've submitted a photo of Kerstin almost every year and this is the first year she's been picked," said Sarah Soell, Kerstin's mother.

She loves music, cheerleading, dancing and showing her sheep.

She's got the life of an average teenager and her mom said that is exactly what people should know.

"I hope that that's what everybody, you know, in New York City, that sees these photos has an open mind and just really opens their heart to see that these kids are really amazing individuals," Soell.

"She just loves life, and we love life with her," said Soell.
