Oklahoma City police are seeking information in connection with the city’s 70th homicide of the year.
According to a news release, a medical call was reported just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 15 in a parking lot near Southwest 59th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in southwest Oklahoma City. Police said they did not respond due to the medical nature of the call.
The victim, identified as 39-year-old Calvin Harjo, was taken to an area hospital.
After being notified by hospital staff of the victim’s condition, officers responded to the initial scene to investigate.
Investigators learned the victim was involved in an altercation where he was assaulted, police said.
The victim died of his injuries Thursday morning.
